However, merchandising is not the only thing that is harmed by cold-vault doors that have seen better days. Damaged doors will not only look bad, but also not close properly, resulting in higher energy usage and costs, along with the enhanced risk that the safety of the food contained within them will become compromised

Knowing how important proper performance of cooler and freezer doors are to c-store sales, food safety, and energy efficiency, Anthony® is excited to introduce “The Ugly Door Contest,” which will run from now through 1:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Oct. 21, which is the final day of the 2016 NACS Show in Atlanta, GA. The contest is limited to one (1) entry per c-store location, and all eligible entrants can enter the contest by visiting the contest web page at www.theuglydoorcontest.com, or by visiting Anthony at Booth No. 5943 at the NACS Show from Oct. 18-21. To enter, contestants must supply all required information and provide a photo of their ugly cold-vault doors, either through the contest website or in person at Anthony’s NACS Show booth. All contest entries will be placed into a drawing and Anthony will select the winner on or about Nov. 4, 2016.
